Barbara is a fully qualified Counselling Psychologist, accredited with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). She is also trained as a Systemic Psychotherapist in University College Dublin, School of Medicine. Barbara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in MPhil Psychoanalytic Studies from Trinity College Dublin and other numerous qualifications which enable her to transform lives of clients who may be facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem or relationship issues, acculturative and immigration stress. She also has experience working with adults and their families on the autistic spectrum.

Barbara has longed for a career that allows her to help vulnerable people. In the end, it was her own life experience emigrating through various parts of the world that shaped her integrative therapeutic approach, which stems from empathy for people navigating transitions and relating cultures different than their own. Her goal is to create a supportive and accepting environment for clients.

She works with individuals and families from a systemic perspective, knowing that we experience wounds through relationships but through relationships, we can also find healing. She also uses positive psychology, mindfulness, play therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques and Brainspotting in her integrative approach.
