Hi I’m Paul. I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor working with Irish Online Counselling and Psychotherapy Service and also have my own private practice.

I hold a BSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy with a Humanistic approach, implementing aspects of different approaches as needed to tailor the therapy to each individual. I believe in the power of having a safe and non-judgmental space to speak freely about difficulties or issues so that they can be unpacked and worked through therapeutically in a collaborative manner. It can be a difficult first step to reach out for help and my aim is to make this as easy a process as possible for those new to, or returning to therapy/counselling.

In collaborating together and unpacking any issues causing concern, it will become clearer where behaviours, thoughts and feelings come from and this understanding and self-awareness is imperative in providing space for growth and change. This work can at times be turbulent during therapy and as this is the case, the therapeutic relationship becomes crucial. I believe that having time and a space that is yours to be heard and met with empathy is extremely important.

I work with a wide range of issues including:

Depression
Anxiety
Anger

Relationship Issues

Family Issues

Control Issues
Bereavement & Loss
Trauma
Abuse
Guilt & Shame
Low Self Esteem
Self-Doubt
Suicidal Thoughts

Stress and burnout
