Hi, my name is Eimear. I am a full-qualified professional therapist offering a compassionate space for individuals to feel safe and welcomed. I have a number of years’ experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds.

With my background career being a teacher, I see how having the ability to regulate one’s emotions and feelings is critical to feeling safe. I have a Masters in Special education with a speciality in working with ADHD and the Autistic Spectrum. My work has helped me work with individuals who find it difficult to slow down, reflect and find solitude in their lives.

The tools I employ are evidence-based and centre to your individual needs. Tools include Cognitive behavioural therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, meditation and compassion therapy.

I truly believe the in the power of therapy to create a space for you to better understand the person you are and the vision of yourself that you see for the future.

The link between the physical body and the emotional body is interlinked and one aspect cannot function without the other. In my training, I have a strong foundation in the focus of positive mental health and the pursuit of happiness. From my own research, I have found that happiness occurs in moments and is a process rather than a destination. Finding space through therapy can allow you to find the sprinkles of happiness in your own life and to build on your goals. Research as consistently shown that a wandering mind is an unhappy mind. Using therapy creates space for the wandering mind.

In my own life I find solace is in nature, learning and in my role as a teacher.

I would love to meet with you where we can work together to realise the incredible person that you are and that you can be. I offer both short and long term counselling and we can work together to find a schedule that best suits you.

I look forward in hearing from you.
